L'Éphémère Review

A bi-monthly online literary and art journal for the ephemeral and eternal

WELCOME TO THE TRANSITORY

This is a place for writers, poets, and artists alike. A place to be inspired and to inspire. A place where our words are fleeting but our impact eternal. We each have but a silver of time in the grand scheme of the world, so let us spill our words from our hearts and support one another on our journeys through life.

L'Éphémère Review aims to shine light on the short-lived, the fleeting, the ephemeral, and the infinite. We want to read works that allows us to leap higher, reach farther, and live bigger. We seek poetry that aches and sings and cries. We wish to bear witness to artwork that changes what we believe and how we see the familiar and the strange. We long for the words that will make our time here softer, grander, and better. A small slice of the universe, offered with a side of starlight and open palms.

Thank you for visiting, no matter how brief or long.
Welcome to our small corner of time.

ON THE BLOG
"IN WHICH YARN CATS GROW UP,"
by TIAN TRAN

"The simplicity of the game was remarkably familiar, and not only was the game simple, but the memories harkened back to a time without stress and angst."

Tian Tran talks rosy retrospection, knowing when to hold onto cherished memories and when to let go, and the nostalgia of cat's cradle.

"THE LOSS AND RECLAMATION OF THE BODY"
A REVIEW OF SURVIVE LIKE THE WATER

"[The reclamation of the body]...is knowing that you can transform yourself into the knives that were once pointed at you, and becoming armour instead. "

Kanika Lawton reviews Lydia Havens' debut poetry collection Survive Like the Water (Rising Phoenix Press, 2017).
