The second issue of L'Éphémère Review seeks to explore that deeply-held shame and despair over living in a home that is not your own. The sorrow, yearning, heartbreak, regret, and relief that comes from realizing you cannot return to the home you once thought was yours. What does it mean to miss what you've never had? To long for a place you have never known? Yet there is still, amongst the bitter clouds, the flickering hope that one day we will find our home, even if it is within ourselves.
We are grateful we are able to give space to the voices echoed within this issue. We hope, you too, can find your home/not-home. Until then, let us be your home. It is the least we can do.
